Fuerteventura: Denounced for group barbecue with drink and drugs
The Guardia Civil in Fuerteventura broke up a barbecue on Wednesday in Corralejo, where a group of eight people had met on a community rofftop, breaching the regulations of the decree of the state of alarm, and causing inconvenience to the rest of the neighbours in the area.
At 5pm in the afternoon the Civil Guard received calls from several residents, complaining about several people having a barbecue and playing loud music on the roof of a building on Calle Chinchorro. When the GIR agents arrived at the scene they heard the music from street level, and when they went up to the roof they identified eight people who were having a barbecue and consuming alcohol together.
In addition to breaking the Organic Law for the Protection of Citizen Security for noncompliance with the confinement measures of Royal Decree 463/2020, of March 14th, five of the men were denounced for other infractions, four for possession and consumption of narcotic substances (marijuana and hashish), and another for disturbance of public order, all of them under the aforementioned Organic Law.
