Coronavirus update: Lanzarote is Covid free with no active cases

The good news continues for the Canary Islands in regards to the worldwide pandemic of Covid-19.

Lanzarote no longer has any active cases on the island, and joins La Gomera, El Hierro, La Graciosa and La Palma being Covid free.
On top of that, for the first time since the pandemic began the Islands have had two consecutive days without any new cases.

According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health the Canary Islands now has:

Deaths: 0 for 16 days
Total deaths: 162
New cases: 0
Total cases: 2,433
Discharges in last 24 hours: 4
Total discharges: 2,199
Active cases: 72

Of the active cases: 69 are at home/isolation, 1 is admitted to hospital in Tenerife, and 2 are in Intensive Care in Gran Canaria.
