Coronavirus update: New record, 12 days without any deaths

The archipelago has exceeded its previous record of eleven days without registering deaths from coronavirus, and has kept the total number of victims frozen since the last death occurred in Gran Canaria on June 13th

According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health the Canary Islands now has:

Deaths: 0 for 12 days
Total deaths: 162
New cases: 2
Total cases: 2,430
Discharges in last 24 hours: 3
Total discharges: 2,191
Active cases: 77

Of the active cases: 73 are at home, 2 are admitted to hospital wards, and 2 are in Intensive Care.

Of the 3 people medically discharged and fully recovered, 2 are in Tenerife and 1 in La Palma. La Palma is now Covid free and has no active cases on the island.

The deaths by islands are as follows:
110 in Tenerife;
39 in Gran Canaria;
7 on La Palma;
6 in Lanzarote;
0 in Fuerteventura;
0 in La Gomera;
0 in El Hierro.
