Coronavirus update: 31 of 35 new cases this week are immigrants

According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health the Canary Islands now has:

Deaths: 0 for 11 days
Total deaths: 162
New cases: 6
Total cases: 2,428
Discharges in last 24 hours: 9
Total discharges: 2,188
Active cases: 78

Of the active cases: 73 are at home, 3 are admitted to hospital wards, and 2 are in Intensive Care.

This last week there have been 35 new cases detected, but 31 of these are imported cases in Fuerteventura from Pateras with immigrants from Western Africa, and in fact there have only been 4 new infections locally across the Islands.

The deaths by islands are as follows:
110 in Tenerife;
39 in Gran Canaria;
7 on La Palma;
6 in Lanzarote;
0 in Fuerteventura;
0 in La Gomera;
0 in El Hierro.
