Coronavirus update: of the 12 new cases, 11 are immigrants in Fuerteventura

According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health the Canary Islands now has:

Deaths: 0 for eight days
Total deaths: 162
New cases: 12
Total cases: 2,421
Discharges in last 24 hours: 3
Total discharges: 2,174
Active cases: 85

Of the active cases: 77 are at home, 7 are admitted to hospital wards, and 1 is in Intensive Care, and 25 of them are immigrants that have arrived on boats in Fuerteventura.

All of the new cases are in Fuerteventura, and 11 of them were among the immigrants who arrived on the island last Thursday, so the increase in cases again corresponds mainly to imported positives, and not to local infections.

The SCS has now carried out a total of 138,679 PCR tests, of which 3,871 have been positive, that is 2.79%.

The deaths by islands are as follows:
110 in Tenerife;
39 in Gran Canaria;
7 on La Palma;
6 in Lanzarote;
0 in Fuerteventura;
0 in La Gomera;
0 in El Hierro.
