Covid update: 129 new cases, 212 discharges, incidence rate now 34.83

Monday 19th October:
There were 129 new cases detected, of these 79 were in Tenerife, 40 in Gran Canaria, 8 in Fuerteventura,6 in La Palma, and 1 in Lanzarote.

Active cases dropped by 83 in the islands as there were 212 medical discharges against 129 new cases, and for the second day in a row, no deaths.

The incidence rates have dropped aswell, as the IA7 for the Islands is now 34.83 and the IA14 is 76.72, plus 5,005 PCR tests were carried out with a positivity rate of 2.64%, well below the 4% threshold.

According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health the Canary Islands now has:

Active cases: 6,549

Of the active cases: 6,267 are at home/isolation, 230 are in hospital wards, and 52 are in Intensive Care.
