Coronavirus update: 5 new cases, still no discharges, active cases increase again

The archipelago once again experiences a slight rebound in cases after counting 5 new positives in the last 24 hours: 2 in Tenerife, 2 in Gran Canaria, and 1 in Fuerteventura.

According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health the Canary Islands now has:

Deaths: 0 for 31 days
Total deaths: 162
New cases: 5
Total cases: 2,467
Discharges in last 24 hours: 0 for 5 days
Total discharges: 2,224
Active cases: 81

Of the active cases: 79 are at home/isolation, none are in a hospital ward, and 2 are in Intensive Care.

The split of the figures can vary slightly depending on whether they are recorded by place of residence, or where the case was recorded, ie where the person was when it happened, but the totals are still the same.
We use location of the case as the person is physically in that place.

32 in Fuerteventura;
28 in Tenerife;
14 in Gran Canaria;
6 in Lanzarote;
1 in La Gomera;
0 in La Palma;
0 in El Hierro.

The deaths by islands are as follows:
114 in Tenerife
40 in Gran Canaria;
5 in Lanzarote;
3 in La Palma;
0 in Fuerteventura;
0 in La Gomera;
0 in El Hierro.

Over 80: 76 deaths
70-79: 47 deaths
60-69: 22 deaths
50-59: 10 deaths
40-49: 3 deaths
30-39: 4 deaths
