Gran Canaria still epicenter of pandemic with over 70% of active cases

Sunday 13th September:
There were 239 new cases detected, of these 134 are in Gran Canaria, 58 in Tenerife, 10 in Lanzarote, 36 in Fuerteventura, and 1 in La Palma.

71% of active cases are in Gran Canaria, and 82% of those are in Las Palmas.
72% of people hospitalized are also in Gran Canaria, as are 72% of patients in ICU.

There are still only 165 active cases in the south of Tenerife.


According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health the Canary Islands now has:
Deaths: 0
Total deaths: 193
New cases: 239
Total cases: 10,650
Discharges in last 24 hours: 31
Total discharges: 3,847
Active cases: 6,610

Of the active cases: 6,350 are at home/isolation, 202 are in hospital wards, and 58 are in Intensive Care.
