Camp site fire in Tenerife south
A fire at a residential campsite in the south of Tenerife, startled residents who say they don’t how it started, but claim they were woken up by the sound of an explosion.
Eddy Watson told Canarian Weekly that: “It looks like the old bus caught fire, and it spread to next two caravans. Not sure what caused the fire to start, but heard explosions about 5am this morning and saw the flames.”
Police and fire crews were quick to arrive at the site called Camping Nauta, which is situated on Calle Cañada Blanca in between Las Rosas and Palm Mar, and battled with the fire before getting it under control.
Reports say that no-one was hurt or needed medical assistance due to the fire.
