Fuerteventura: boat 'in distress' rescued north of Lobos
A patrol boat from the Provincial Maritime Service of the Guardia Civil, in Fuerteventura, came to the aid of a boat "in distress" on Saturday afternoon.
The rescue took place between 1.10 and 2.25pm, after the Benemérita troops were alerted by an individual who reported that the boat had problems.
The maritime rescue patrol boat was informed, and four people were rescued: two adults and two children, aged 9 and 10 years old, residents of the municipality of La Oliva.
The pleasure boat had a leak and was towed by the Guardia Civil patrol boat to the nearby port of Corralejo.
No-one was injured in the incident.
