Wax job is chest the job!
Our thanks to all involved in the joint fund-raiser with the K9 refuge on 26th May at theTop Square, Golf del Sur. Many entertainers donated their time, including Colin Stevens, Robbie Dominic, Dave Ferry, Big Chris and Jan Monroe. A sponsored chest wax went on in Slippers bar, swelling the funds. A fantastic 610 euros was raised for the two refuges, which is brilliant in these hard times.
We also thank the group who organised the fiesta in El Rancho, Palm Mar. Unfortunately, because of a communication breakdown, some of our supporters were unhappy with the event, as it was not what they were expecting.
It is always strange when a third party offers to host a fund-raiser, especially when our key people cannot be there to oversee events through work commitments. But the event was staged with a good heart, and a total of 200 euro was raised for our dogs.
We apologise to those who were disappointed and hope you will continue to support our regular fund-raisers. It is important to us that our charity shows are enjoyed by all but, sadly, this is not always 100% possible.
