A touch of class for Rangers at the TTT

RANGERS arrived in Tenerife on Monday for a six-day, warm-weather, training visit, to get their mid-season training camp underway at the renowned Tenerife Top Training centre (TTT) in La Caleta.

Spongebob Squarepants was the star of the show at the kids’ club that evening, appearing at the luxury Tenerife hotel in which the Scottish press, covering Rangers’ trip, are staying.

The players were put through their paces in the cool evening, under the floodlights in La Caleta.

And when new-signing Steven Davis joined his team-mates for the first time, the players stood in a circle and applauded the midfielder as he walked on to the training pitch.

It was a sign of the regard in which the on-loan Southampton man is held, while another new recruit, former England striker Jermain Defoe, trained for the first time on Tuesday after arriving the previous day.
