Look after your smile

This week Canarian Weekly spoke with Manfred Firsching, owner and main dentist at Clinica Dental in Buzanada.
The Clinica Dental Buzanada has actually been up and running in the Buzanada area since October 2005, relocating to their newly refurbished surgery a few years later. It’s in a good position, it’s easy to find and easy to park!
Manfred is German, but is fluent in English, so there will be no problem explaining what you would like done to your teeth.
His multi-lingual team can advise on all dental treatments including implants, orthodontics, teeth whitening and dentures.
They can provide general dentistry, orthodontics (specialising in children) plus the more complicated wisdom surgery and implants.
Manfred said that many people visit the dentist as they don’t want to lose their teeth, and obviously you need them to eat. He told Canarian Weekly, “we’re a very good quality family dentist; we operate the same standards as in Germany, which are among the highest inEurope”
He wants to offer his patients stability, so their dentist doesn’t change year after year, that is why he is both proprietor and dentist.
Canarian Weeklyasked him what are the biggest challenges in dentistry, he replied, “the biggest challenge is to get people to come to the dentist regularly, even when there is nothing wrong, regular visits help avoid damage.”
Interestingly, 95% of his customers are resident and he has built a solid patient base by word of mouth, with patients telling other people to visit him.
He continued, “We need to look after the teeth of the young, so as to avoid them being disadvantaged in the future.”
Clinica Dental Buzanada is open Monday – Friday from 9.30am until 8pm. If you’re coming from the motorway they’re situated just before the Buzanada roundabout on the left-hand side.
If you wish to discuss our dental treatment your first check up is free, see their ad on page 25.
