Five pointers to adopting a dog
IT has been a relatively quiet week on the doggie front, so Accion del Sol staff have issued their five main benefits of adopting a dog from the refuge.
1. You will be giving a dog a new chance of a home and greatly increasing its quality of life. Many animals spend a lot of time in the refuge waiting for a new home, and many of the older and bigger dogs get passed by. But they make equally good, loving pets.
2. Every dog taken from Accion del Sol is castrated, vaccinated , micro-chipped, passported and given a clean bill of health by the resident vet.
3. You won’t be supporting puppy farms – many puppies sold are mass bred, purely for business.
4. Accion has dogs of all shapes, sizes, breeds and ages , so there is bound to be a dog suitable for your needs.
5. You will enjoy the great satisfaction knowing that you have helped one of the many dogs at the refuge, while at the same time supporting a healthy, cause. Adopting a pet has lifelong benefits which you will not regret. In return your dog will give you unconditional love – and a friend forever.

The refuge is situated at Poligono De Industrial Estate, Granadilla, Exit 51 on the TF1, directly next to ITER, the Parque Eolica, where the windmills are, and is open to the public Monday-Friday, from 3-6pm.
