Picasso’s Pool Bar Singles Knockout

OH what a night, as a great turnout of 28 ladies descended on Bar 180 to compete for a place in the finals of the sponsored singles tournament, sponsored by Picasso’s Pool Bar.

Good darts from under-16 entrants Sade and Elise, from Lady Macs, brought them no satisfaction as they were knocked out. But well done, you girls.

Jackie H, on home turf, saw off all-comers in some close games to claim her final spot, with Pas O Nadas’s Gio joining her. She was hot stuff and progressed through without losing a leg.

Special mentions and thanks go to the following: Julie Nautas and Ami Lady Macs for assisting in scoring during the contest; Lynn, Bar 180’s host for the mouth-watering food, and barman Trevor, for looking after the girls all night long,

Some amazing darts and entertainment just shows that girls just wanna have fun!

Scruffy Macs welcomed half of the gentlemen’s singles with Gaffers’ Dave hitting the first maximum of the night. But he was beaten by the home venue’s James, who, in turn, lost to in-form Wayne, who hit his own perfect three darts in a 3-1 win.

Dave ‘The King’ Elvis began with a 106 finish, but Sandy, from Emerald Lounge, raised his game and won through to the last two with some supreme arrows. But Wayne would not to be beaten, winning 3-0 comfortably to claim his place.

In Valle San Lorenzo, Spear Chuckers hosted the other half of the gents, and the shock of the first round was Daddy Cool meeting his Waterloo, beaten 3-1 by The Pub’s Ally.

Tom, representing Scruffy Macs, took time out from being a new father, and we all wish him, Daisy May and Shay Alan all the best.

Tom’s darts were brilliant when he dismissed Rob 3-0, only to meet previous champion Mitch, from Phoenix Bar,who lost just one leg on his way to play Per, from the sponsors.

But Per had double trouble and Mitch went sailing through to finals’ night.

Legends hosted the Division 2 event, and, after an evening of brilliant darts and camaraderie, Buzzin B’s Rob, and Chris, on home ground, were simply the best and took their deserved places on the main stage.

Special thanks to the committee, Chairman Chas, and Dave, who organised this special night. And and grateful thanks to sponsors Picasso’s Pool Bar.
