Most-wanted fraudster is arrested in Marbella

A BRITON, who has used 20 aliases and is alleged to be one of Europe’s most-wanted fraudsters, has been captured on the Costa del Sol.

The man not yet named by the Spanish authorities, is believed to be 53-year-old Paul Kemp, from Canterbury, who had been masquerading as Jean Paul Dalton or Marcus Laine, among others.

A spokesman for Spain’s National Police said: “The suspect was tracked down and arrested near his home in Marbella, thanks to international co-operation.”

Kemp is thought to have been involved in an alleged 4.2m-euro fraud relating to a 2010 VAT and money-laundering case with a Kent-based removals firm.

He had been on the ENFAST list, which includes Europe’s most-wanted fugitives.
