Smile you’re in the Canaries!. - 14.10.2005
That’s the theme of the Regional Executive’s joint tourist promotion with Turesaña running in eight European countries until the end of the year.

A budget of four million euros has been set aside for the campaign targeting Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Ireland, Italy and the Netherlands.

As with an extensive operation in Scandinavia, the promotion is being concentrated in the print media, singling out specialist and general press outlets, although the Belgians and the Finns will be given an extra publicity push.

All the Canaries’ best natural and tourist assets are on display to tempt consumers to choose the archipelago for their next holidays.

The authorities hope to generate an interest in the Archipelago which has been flagging in recent times.
