
A COMPREHENSIVE array of sporting activities will be made available for all the people of Arona this summer.
Town Hall officials, led by Head of Sport Councillor Francisco Hernández Toledo, are determined that residents of all ages, from infants to old folk, will enjoy the full benefit of their programme, even a spectators only. It includes swimming for babies and children up to 16, beach games, mini-sailing, windsurfing, canoeing and karting, beach volleyball and football, tennis and paddle tennis, mountain biking and golf. Both teenagers and adults can enjoy fitness weekends which include diving courses, swimming and other water activities, gym on the beach, tennis, paddle tennis and mini-courses in sailing, windsurfing and canoeing. “Our aim is to promote sport for all as a means of leisure time, and also offer people a chance to experiment with other games and sports they may not have experienced before,” said Councillor Toledo.
