Police cadet recruits - 02.07.2010
In Adeje, 30 youths who participated in the first edition of the project were congratulated by Mayor, José Miguel Rodríguez Fraga.

The passing out ceremony took place in the municipality of Adeje during the afternoon of Monday, June 28th; it was attended by the Mayor of the municipality, José Miguel Rodríguez Fraga, the Security councillor, Carmen Nieves Rodríguez, plus relatives and friends of the 30 new police cadets.

 

 

The mMayor stated that "I feel really proud and happy to witness the graduation of the new Youth Police Cadets, today they start on a path, a voyage, and they do so wearing a police uniform, which is not a costume, and you have to take it with honour, dignity and respect.

 

 

The project and council has done well to improve the living and active engagement with the municipality of Adeje and linking security with the community aswell, leading to a new concept of security, on a more proactive note, which is based on peace, harmony and values."

 

 

Fraga Rodriguez congratulated the 30 graduates and said "the children have done well, they have sought to learn, to prepare and have achieved, you do not achieve anything of value without effort, so congratulations on this, we are all happy, because with this continuing progress towards a better town in which peace prevails and in which if we keep doing the right thing will, no doubt, we’ll have a good future.”

 

 

The young Cadets will begin patrolling the municipality streets in the Autumn, the Mayor and councillor thanked everyone involved for making the project possible including local schools, tutors, family and relatives, for their involvement in the project.
