Tenerife Lan Party 2008
Already registered more than 150 exhibitors.
This computer Festival is being held from 16th to 20th July at the International Centre of Fairs and Congresses of Tenerife.
The festival Tenerife Lan Party (TLP), organized by the association Innova7, has already more than 150 registered to participate in this computer software event. The deadline for registration will conclude the next 5 July and can be done through a form on the site www.tenerifelanparty.com.
The chairman of the association Innovate 7, Antonio Cabrera, explains that the numbers of exhibitors is increasing.
For the festival organizers the objective is to achieve 600 participants.
Tenerife Lan Party (TLP) is the largest festival of new technologies in the Canary Islands. Another of the new developments this year will be the availability of greater broadband connection to internet access, as well as the inclusion of some initiatives related to the new technologies and the world of youth.
Tenerife Tram is 1
On Saturday 28th June a sub post office will be set up inside a stationary tram at the intercambiador Santa Cruz from 10:00-14:00 and at La Trinidad La Laguna 16:00-20:00. A post office official will stamp letters & postcards with a special tram postmark to celebrate the tram's first anniversary. There will also be special stamps and postcards featuring the tram.
Exposaldo Success
The sixth Exposaldo received thousands of visitors last week in Santa Cruz. Held at the International Centre of Fairs and Congresses, Tenerife, it received 49,108 people in five days. Given the current economic climate that was tremendous.
The public during five days were able purchase sale goods which culminated in a final auction of products.
Exposaldo occupied an area of 12,000 square meters and benefited from the participation of a total of 150 companies. This year, the sectors present were gift items, footwear, accessories, perfumery, decoration, sports, household items, toys, electronics and textile, among others. In addition, a surface of more than 2,000 square metres was designated for used cars.
Free Wi-Fi
Playa de la Arena now has free Wi-Fi
The beach of Playa de la Arena, who recently received the prestigious European Blue Flag award for twenty-first year running, now offers a Wi-Fi service free for all users of the beach.
Wi-Fi is known as the set of standards for wireless networks based on the IEEE 802.11 (especially the 802.11b), created for wireless LANs, but which is also used for Internet access.
This space Wi-Fi is aimed at a maximum of 15 computers scheduled for use of line between the hours of 10:00 to 18: 00 hours in summer and 10: 00 to 17: 00 hours in winter. To request access codes you only have to contact those responsible for the maintenance on the beach.

Market Reopened
