Unelco has finished the construction of an underground medium voltage line.

Unelco-Endesa has recently completed the construction of the underground double circuit line between the medium voltage substation in the industrial park and airport Granadilla Tenerife South-Reina Sofia.

The work has been carried out in coordination with the work of the service road that currently runs the  between the junction of San Isidro and the future Los Cardones link to decongest traffic in this part of Granadilla.

Specifically, this has meant the removal of a section, approximately 600 meters of double circuit lines are to be implemented in due course, jointly between AENA (Aena) and Unelco-Endesa, to reinforce the electricity supply to the South Tenerife Airport. It also ensures that line improvement and growth of electricity demand at the heart of San Isidro.

The work, completed recently concluded its transition to a dual underground power line running parallel to the highway between the existing crossing of San Isidro.

As for the cost in relation to the development in this area of the town of Granadilla de Abona, it has meant an investment by Unelco-Endesa close to 160,000 euros, as detailed in a statement the company supplying electricity .
