Fun and games, for kids and dogs in playgrounds

SAN Miguel de Abona Mayor Arturo E. Gonzalez has officially opened a super new playground for kids, on Avenida Lucio Díaz-Flores Feo, in Llano De Camello.

It is part of a new 24,000sq/m urban park and a 6,000sq/m dog park, which, he said, “meet one of the major neighbourhood requests, and the area with new spaces for leisure”.

The Mayor added: “Llano del Camello has experienced an important population growth in recent years, and, currently, has 5,000 residents. With the opening of these two resources, we are responding to local requests and are providing the area with new spaces for leisure and recreation.

“In addition, the dog park will help pet-owners have an appropriate place to exercise their dogs.”

He also said how the San Miguel Council’s duty, as a public administration, is to incorporate these services and infrastructures to allow sustainable growth, and improve the quality of life for the residents.

Julián Martín, General Services Councillor, who accompanied the Mayor at the inauguration, emphasised how the large, urban park highlights their commitment to continue implementing new services in the town.
