El Almendro upgrades play area
EL ALMENDRO’S playing field, in Valle San Lorenzo, now has new sports facilities as part of an improvement project.
The scheme, costing around 40,000 euros, also includes a football pitch and a multi-purpose apparatus circuit.
“It provides value to this area as a sports, leisure and entertainment centre,” said Arona Mayor Jose Alberto Gonzalez Reveron, who unveiled the new-look area with Sports Councillor Monica Sierra. “This equipment completes the performance expectations here.”
Sierra and Gonzalez Reveron stressed that the improvements made it a perfect setting for sports and contact with nature for the people of Valle San Lorenzo, where the first football field in the town was located.
