Doped-up bus driver

THE driver of a bus carrying 29 children tested positive for cocaine by police in western Spain, in the middle of this week’s school-transport safety campaign, which ends today (Friday).

The campaign was organised by Spain’s Directorate General of Traffic (DGT), and Guardia Civil officers stopped the vehicle at 9.20am at a roadside checkpoint in Béjar, near Salamanca, on its 30km route.

The 41-year-old driver was charged, and the bus was immobilised.
