Coalition Canaria Party re-elect Rivero as leader
For the fourth time since its creation in 1999, the Coalition Canaria Party has elected Paulino Rivero as its leader.
This year was the first time that the election was held by secret ballot, rather than a show of hands, and Rivero received the lowest percentage of votes in the party’s history, with just 485, some 56.2%.
Rivero, also President of the Canarian Government, has promised that he will listen to the people, understanding that it is a difficult time for citizens to have faith in politicians.
